LCR Urban Development Fund
The LCR Urban Development Fund is a £25 million fund managed under the Strategic Investment Fund framework. As a Combined Authority, our investment programme focuses on five key themes: green, business, innovation, inclusive economy and place & connectivity. These themes will be key to ensuring the genuine strengths of LCR are harnessed and maximised. The fund will also support the development and delivery of an integrated approach across LCR, which focusses on meeting identified local needs and opportunities.
The fund can invest in projects that support:
● Research and Innovation;
● Enhancing SMEs growth and competitiveness; and
● Helping our companies and organisations transition to a Low Carbon Economy.
The fund is supported by Igloo Investment Management Ltd acting as Fund Advisers.

Chrysalis is a £35 million, revolving fund that has supported more than £100m worth of development activity since 2012 and will continue to commit its funds into further development and growth until at least 2022. Previous projects include the Venus 217 Production facilities in Knowsley, the Mersey Reach industrial facility in Sefton, and state-of-the-art Office accommodation at Sci Tech Daresbury’s Project Violet currently under development.
The fund is actively inviting new development projects that meet its investment criteria and can contribute to its economic development goals, including the creation of jobs, employment floor space and land remediation.
The fund is managed by Igloo Investment Management Ltd, with support from Avison Young.
