Firestarters x TGBF – ‘Powering Communities’

How can the region’s trailblazing business clusters connect with communities to create a stronger, more connected city region?

Firestarters is partnering up with the Good Business Festival to produce a special programme of events that will bring local and global partners together to ensure the impact of the festival continues beyond the main event.

Powering communities

The Liverpool City Region is home to a range of diverse business communities, and globally recognised clusters like Sci-Tech Daresbury, and the Baltic Creative CIC.

This event will help the region to continue to “develop our unique specialisms” and become “recognised on the international stage as a hub of good business and innovation” by bringing some of the region’s key players together to explore ways that we can work together in empowering communities.

Firestarters will partner with the Good Business Festival’s global partners to help the LCR’s business clusters and communities to become more connected, more resourceful, and more influential.

What are the desired outcomes?

  • Form connections between the region’s globally recognised business clusters like Baltic Creative CIC and Sci-Tech Daresbury, and community/socially driven organisations

  • Bridge the gap between local and global stakeholders

  • Create a framework for collaboration between business clusters and the local community and third sector

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration between the region’s business clusters and community/socially driven organisations

  • Align the region’s key players to the region’s ambition to become more purpose-driven by supporting the LCRCA’s priority areas

What format will the event take?

  • 90-minute event with 30 exclusive guests and two keynote speakers

  • 5-minute opening note from Aaron Fontenot at Matchstick Creative

  • 10-minute keynote + Q&A

  • 15 min panel Q&A with global partners and local industry leaders

  • 45 minutes breakout rooms sessions with Good Business Festival partners

  • 15 minute summary & feedback from all groups and thanks from the team

The Good Business Festival is passionately non-exclusive. It’s not about what you do or who you know. It’s not about agreeing on everything all of the time. It’s about everyone working towards a better world – no matter where you’re starting from.
