Firestarters x TGBF – ‘Cultural Inclusion’

How can local cultural organisations and the Good Business Festival come together to create a more vibrant, more connected city region?

Firestarters is partnering up with the Good Business Festival to produce a special programme of events that will bring local and global partners together to ensure the impact of the festival continues beyond the main event.

Cultural Inclusion

‘Cultural Inclusion’ will look at how we can make LCR’s cultural offer more inclusive. We’ll build on our experience working with cultural organisations and key players from the sector by bringing The Good Business Festival’s global partners together with the region’s cultural organisations.

The activity will revolve around helping cultural organisations to bridge gaps with national partners and identifying opportunities for collaboration. The desired outcome will be the formation and launch of a collaborative network of inclusive cultural organisations.

What are the desired outcomes?

  • Help the region’s cultural organisations in becoming more inclusive

  • Support cultural organisations led by people from underrepresented and disadvantaged groups in becoming stronger, better connected, and more resilient

  • Create and support a network of cultural organisations with aligned values around diversity and inclusion

  • Bridge the gap between local and global stakeholders giving the region’s SMEs access to world-leading best practice

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration between local and global stakeholders

What format will the event take?

  • 90-minute event with 30 exclusive guests and two keynote speakers

  • 5-minute opening note from Aaron Fontenot at Matchstick Creative

  • 10-minute keynote + Q&A

  • 15 min panel Q&A with global partners and local industry leaders

  • 45 minutes breakout rooms sessions with Good Business Festival partners

  • 15 minute summary & feedback from all groups and thanks from the team
