We are so much more than a business festival.

From major global brands to local businesses that fly the flag for Liverpool City Region, we’ll be showcasing a bunch of powerful ideas from some of the sharpest minds on the planet…and we want you to be involved and help to create change for the future.

We want to provoke debate and drive conversations around how we can all do business better and more responsibly, showcasing how both global brands, as well as homegrown businesses are leading the way.

There’ll be a host of speakers leading knowledge sessions and workshops, plus the opportunity to network with like-minded businesses, enabling us to unite together with one common goal and ensure your company is future-proofed.

The countdown begins now as we head out across the Liverpool City Region with our Greater Good programme of events, a series of interactive events that will enable us to get closer to what our region’s businesses are doing right now.

This isn’t a conference. It’s a multi-day, multi-venue festival driven by creatives, with big-hitting topics at its core and a jam-packed programme of fringe and social events, too.

The countdown has already started with a series of events across the Liverpool City Region, giving local businesses the opportunity to shine.

Global economics affects our everyday lives – we believe that the relationship between business and society needs to be talked about in a much more engaging and accessible way.

And that’s where we come in…

We believe that the only way to drive change is to make sure that absolutely everyone has a seat at the table.

Whether you run your own business, are a dedicated employee or you just want to do better for our planet, The Good Business Festival will have something for you, from industry renowned speakers to our Good Small Business Programme, which offers practical support and training for businesses across the region.

Combining a mixture of household names and rising stars and bringing global giants together with local businesses, we’re confident you’ll find solution to take your business forward and drive growth.

This is the only way forward.

It’s pretty simple really – this is the way forward for the world. It’s what consumers want, it’s what your kids want and it’s what the planet and our society needs.

What’s good for society is also good for business – thinking beyond the bottom line has positive impacts for everyone – people, planet and businesses.

Together we can change business for good.

  • 4000+ people
  • +70 sessions
  • +100 global businesses
  • A new community for good

Business behaviour affects all of us

This is a series of events that uses business as a lens to discuss the change that’s needed in our societies. We don’t care where you work, what you do or how much business jargon you know – this is for everyone.

At The Good Businesses Festival, we’ll learn why right now is the time to trial new ideas and alternative approaches in business.

We will be asking businesses of all sizes to consider and commit to a purpose beyond profit. They’ll be sharing powerful ideas and transformational change during our six showcase events across Liverpool City Region and, of course, at the three-day festival in March 2022.

Every crisis is an opportunity

Every crisis is an opportunity.

Society (businesses included) rarely has the opportunity to reflect and think beyond immediate challenges; seldom is life shaken up so forcefully that tackling the deep-rooted issues that result in inequality becomes an immediate priority. Traditional drivers of value have shifted – ethical and sustainable business are driving superior financial performance. The principles and pursuit of good business are no longer a choice; they are the only way forward for long term growth and profit.

Society is becoming increasingly intolerant of brands and businesses that embrace consumerism at the price of trashing the planet. Activism has become entirely mainstream – climate change and issues of inequality are no longer just the pursuit of hardcore campaigners. Consumers and investors alike are demanding business takes responsibility for their impact on humanity’s health and the planet’s prosperity.

We believe every business can become a catalyst for change, can contribute to the common good of humanity and has the power to influence how our future unfolds. If we momentarily take our minds off the trauma experienced through this pandemic and look to the future to grasp the gaps in social cohesion that have been exposed and accelerated by coronavirus, we end up asking ourselves; what can I do that is going to make a difference?

This time round, we wanted to go further than a one-off festival. Our programme, which starts with our six showcase events – Greater Good – creates space for a huge variety of topics. From the big issues facing global societies to the niggling questions that sit at the back of our minds when we go to work every day.

We recognise that there’s a huge crossover in the topics covered at each of our sessions and events, so every talk, workshop, podcast, debate, activity or exhibition will be tagged with the key topics that it covers.

As a festival-goer, you can choose to explore the topics that interest you or dive into a little bit of everything.
